Terrain LOD and Horizon Blending
Advanced the terrain LOD path so far ground can fade, stitch, and fog into the horizon with fewer visible cracks.
Changes
- Stabilized terrain radius admission so distant terrain chunks enter the scene predictably instead of popping in uneven rings.
- Smoothed distant terrain skylines so mountain and ridge silhouettes hold together without harsh stair-stepping.
- Rendered rivers as continuous ribbons so waterways hold together across the terrain instead of breaking into disconnected fragments.
- Added terrain LOD and fog work so distant blocks can simplify and blend without obvious step changes.
- Stitched coarse terrain edges against fine blocks so LOD transitions do not open visible cracks in the ground.
- Blended far-fade targets across the horizon line so terrain disappears into fog instead of cutting off sharply.
