Bot Perception and Field Service

Made computer-controlled pilots react from more believable information while smoothing the service and firing rules around live fights.

Changes

  • Made computer-controlled pilots respect snapshot-sampled terrain occlusion, so hills and ground between aircraft can hide targets instead of letting bots react through cover.
  • Gated bot reactions behind contact perception classes that mirror what a human can see on meshes, in-world blips, and the map, reducing uncanny long-range awareness.
  • Stabilized primary gun cadence so firing rhythm feels consistent instead of depending on uneven frame timing.
  • Let computer-controlled pilots break defensively when they come under fire, making attack runs less one-note and giving incoming pressure a visible tactical response.
  • Allowed stopped aircraft on their own field to receive service, making rearm and refuel behavior depend on safely getting back to friendly ground instead of hidden reset rules.
